Perspectives on Adoption:  International Adoptees Tell Their Stories is a newly released documentary.  Adoptees and their families candidly discuss issues such as abandonment, growing up in a white community, adolescence, returning to their birth country and coming to terms with being adopted.

This DVD is now available for $29.95 including shipping and handling.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Amity Foundation’s Hugging Grannies Program.

Editor's Note:  I viewed this DVD with my daughter, who is two.  I think it really helped for her to see older Asian adoptees who continue to be in loving families.    As these teens discussed their feelings associated with being adopted internationally, I found avenues of communication opening up in a safe way.  And, as a parent, I found some new insight into how I can prepare myself for situations that may arise along the way.  I highly recommend adding this DVD to your family "toolkit".
